Project Summary
This adaptive reuse project transformed the iconic, long-vacant Old Saint George Church in Clifton into a dynamic new home for Crossroads Church, preserving Cincinnati’s architectural heritage while meeting the needs of a modern congregation. Once threatened by years of neglect and a devastating fire, the historic Romanesque Revival landmark was meticulously restored, including its soaring twin spires and intricate masonry.
Model Group collaborated closely with preservationists, designers, and the church community to retain original details while introducing contemporary amenities, flexible gathering spaces, and updated infrastructure. The result is a vibrant, welcoming center for Crossroads Church, community events, and community engagement that honors the building’s historic character and ensures its legacy for generations to come.
